The Remainder of April 2022

Ok, we all know we had a busted trip to Florida and we all got COVID in April, but what else did we do?

Well, Grant got a flip phone, which he weirdly doesn't mind (Natalie was mortified when she got hers.)  Of course, he can't remember to bring it with him, so it's not doing him a lot of good!

We also had a cold upper level low swing over us early in the month that brough us some pea sized hail!

Natalie's hand for scale.

And then came Todd's fateful trip to New Hampshire for work, which started with a 7 mile hike.  Good thing he's in shape! You can see he went on a floodplain finding mission for me!

At least he got to enjoy some beautiful views before he got COVID.

He even got to see a pretty waterfall!

AND he had a birthday - a BIG one!

Although his birthday was on a Saturday, we actually had cake the day before that so that we would still have some time to eat the leftovers before our trip to Florida.

Natalie's face here ha ha.  This was on Todd's ACTUAL birthday!  We had gone to 110 Grill in Hopkinton for dinner, which was really good.  But then we had to come home for a second round of cake and ice cream and presents!

Here is his sad birthday cake on his ACTUAL birthday since we started digging into it the day before. You can't really tell from this picture but the candles on the corners were like mini sparklers!  I think he had a pretty good day since he got an Apple watch and he got to spend the day with his three favorite people!

The day after Todd's birthday was Easter - and it was the day we were going to Florida!  The kids got up and had candy for breakfast and a quick indoor Easter egg hunt before we went to church.

We tried for a family pic at church.  Happy Easter!

After church, we packed up and headed down to the airport in Providence for our flight to Tampa.  Well... you all know how THAT turned out.

And after Natalie and I arrived BACK in Boston, the boys were still down in Florida.  Toward the end of the week, when Natalie and I were on the couch at home watching movies with COVID, the boys were feeling better so they went for a drive and a visit to the beach.  This was their reaction when they went to my parents old house.

Grant finally got his sunset!

They had such fun that they went two nights in a row and Grant got to make dribble castles with Daddy.

Grantie and his dribble castles.

I was glad Todd got to the beach!  He was stuck in a hotel for 5 days before this!

Lastly, Natalie was in her first ever comedy at the high school.  It was called "I Only Have 10 Minutes!" And it was HILARIOUS!  She was so funny and had great comedic timing.  The play is a series of shorter plays, mostly by David Ives - in the one above, she was the interpreter in "Arabian Nights" which is described as, "Utterly normal Norman walks into utterly ordinary Flora's shop looking for a souvenir of his travels and together they find whirlwind romance, spurred on by a wacky translator."  It was SO funny!

Bring on a healthy May!
