This is a picture of my 15 month old-going on 15 year old daughter, rolling her eyes. It all started when we would say something like, "Eat your broccoli!" at the dinner table. Then of course, because it's so darn cute, we would laugh (Bad Mommy! Bad! Bad!). Now she does it when she has an audience. The more you laugh at her, the more she does it. And she thinks she is the funniest person! In this picture, she was rolling her eyes for Nana, Pop Pop and Uncle Co Co when we were at John's Pizza in New York.

Note to Fellow Mommies: Monitor your vaccinations!
SO... last night, I was sitting on my couch, filling in Natalie's baby album, which I am almost done with (since it only goes up to 1 year, but has a little room for information that goes past a year, such as the dates her teeth). As it turns out, last Thursday at her 15 month appointment, she was given a 4th dosage of the polio vaccination! Babies are supposed to only get 3 doses of the polio vaccination between birth and 18 months. Then they are supposed to get a 4th dose between 2-4 years. However, someone at her pediatrician's office erroneously gave her the 4th dose WAY too early. The dose she got last Thursday was okay, but she was not supposed to receive the dose she got at 12 months. To say the least, I am LIVID. So I made my nice, calm, collected husband call the doctor's office for me this morning. They confirmed what Todd had researched last night- that the 4th dose isn't going to be harmful to her. But I still want answers! I'm not one of those moms that won't ever vaccinate their kids out of fear, but I can totally see why parents don't! The doctor's and nurses can't even keep track of it! They said that the office manager is going to call Todd back tomorrow, so we'll see what he has to say. It's very frustrating. Stay tuned!

Welcome to the Blog! Natalie's 15 month appointment
Welcome to The Bailey Planet - I've officially entered the Blogosphere!
Natalie had her 15-month appointment yesterday. She weighed 23 pounds 13 ounces (60th percentile); she was 30 inches long (50th percentile), and was off the charts for head circumference at 19.5 inches!!!! So of course, they measured Todd's head also... and he too was off the charts at 24 and 1/4 inches. When we got home, I measured my own head, and at 21.5 inches long, apparently I am ALSO off the charts.
Does her head look that big in this picture? This picture was taken this past weekend in New York at Shea Stadium. My parents, brother, and Todd, Natalie and I went there to enjoy some of the last baseball games that will be played at Yankee and Shea Stadiums. Natalie's first MLB game was the Mets vs. Braves. It was Jorge Campillo starting for the Braves, and Oliver Perez for the Mets. David Wright hit 2 homeruns for the Mets, but they still lost 7-4. We didn't get to see the exciting end of the game because Natalie was getting cranky, but it was a good time anyway. Hopefully her next game will be at Fenway!
That's all I have for my first blog. I hope you'll check back later for more exciting Bailey updates!
